is a GTA style game coming to the xbox?
I know that GTA is currently exclsuve to PS2.
Will/Is a game with a similar theme being developed for the xBox by another developer?
Is state of emeregency the only other game that tried to be like GTA?
I realize that pimpin' ain't easy but someone else should try!

Mafia looks really good and should be a good substitute for GTA, even though you are in the old mafia world and not the 80's Miami vice world.
otherwise just buy a PS2 play vice city and then buy Mafia next year also.

is mafia set in like the 50 chicago era or something? I loved Vice City when it first came out but then the 80's thing got on my nerves. I just sold it on ebay this week. I would love a game set back in the day out in Chicago.

This third-person 3-D action game takes place in a fictional city named Lost Heaven--a cross between New York and Chicago--and is about the daily life of a gangster from the '30s. More than 60 vehicles are available to drive through the 12 miles of environment; stop your car and get out whenever and wherever your want. Use weapons such as a Tommy gun, a Smith & Wesson model 27 Magnum, a pump-action shotgun, a baseball bat, or Molotov cocktails. Seven multiplayer modes are available via LAN or over the Internet, including Deathmatch and Capture the Flag.

Now this sounds like a game that could blow GTA out of the water. It doesn't sound like they are just pumping out a GTA clone, they plan on out doing it in every shape and form. I just wish it had real music. Hopefully the XB version will let you add your own MP3s.

this game actually looks like a GTA killer. I think there is no better bad guy than Gary Oldman and he is in it. How awsome is that? It says that xbox owners will be able to use their own music, another huge plus. I really like that you can play the game over and over and never have the same thing happen. When is this expected? I need this one.
