Barry Gibb collaborates with the original space alien himself - JACKO!!
But, oh God, WHY??? Why would Barry Gibb, brain child, creative genius, and the driving force behind The Bee Gees, even want to work with such an unsteady human being such as Michael Jackson?
For the record, Barry Gibb is (was) a talented and influencial songwriter. He wrote hits not only for The Bee Gees and for his brother Andy, but he and his brothers Maurice and Robin have written such hits as:
1) Emotion
by Samantha Sang (#3 in 1978)
by Destiny's Child (#10 in 2001)
2) Islands In The Stream
by Kenny Rogers & Dolly Parton (#1 in 1983)
3) Heartbreaker
by Dionne Warwick (#10 in 1984)
4) Grease
by Frankie Valli (#1 in 1978)
5) Woman In Love (#1 in 1980); Guilty (#3 in 1981)
by Barbra Streisand
6) If I Can't Have You
by Yvonne Elliman (#1 in 1978)
Michael Jackson's last musical achievement occurred seven years ago, when "You Are Not Alone" became the first single to debut in the Number One position on the Billboard Hot 100 Singles chart. This was a superstar collaboration (which is why I'm getting the chills thinking about the Gibb/Jackson angle) between Jackson as performer, and R.Kelly as songwriter.
We were thankful that Jackson's 2001 album, "Invincible," disappeared rather quick when compared to his past achievements. What will happen now that Barry Gibb is going to work with Jackson?
The Question that haunts my mind: will Jackson dominate the airwaves once again?
The only consolation I have is that Barry Gibb is a has-been, and so is Michael Jackson. Maybe they both will flop. I hope so, and shame on Barry Gibb for wanting to work with a total psycho! The man who stole the Beatles rights from Paul McCartney!

</small>I read somewhere that Paul McCartney had the opportunity to buy those rights but he felt that he should allow Yoko Ono the opportunity to participate in the deal. The story went that she said that the asking price ($25M?) was too high and that they should try to negotiate. In the meantime they lost out to the higher bidder

Don't forget Chain Reaction for Diana Ross.
