DIY speaker finish

DIY speaker finish

For anyone that's followed my DIY speaker exploits, I finally completed the finish on the exteriors for the DIY speakers. You'll note the festive holiday colors...

those are definately some ugly speakers....(color-wise)

good job on your completion though

The green is a bit much to me but hey how many people can say they built there own speakers.

Wait until this CES so I can show you what I have been up to...........think $50K!!!

I like the color, but I don't think I'd want it in my living room

I don't find the speakers unattractive. Their finish look quite nice, especially the wood-dyed areas. The green fronts don't match any of my equipment, but they might not look too bad with the Hitachi TWX line of RPTVs. Please post a pic of how they fit into your HT room when everything is in place.

did you do the center also?

Hey if the green ever gets old a steel grey would look killer (IMO)

Veneer is excellent!
