NAS "God's Son"
If you've ever liked Nas in the past then this is the album to get.
He was good on STILLMATIC and even better on GOD'S SON.
The guy is just plain talented.
When he says something you can tell that there's thought
behind it.
Not Jay-Z bragging about how he practically freestyles all of his rhymes as he records them.
There's just one bad song (& it's truly lousy) on the new NAS album and it's track number 5 with the Bravehearts on it.
It's unbelievable that this joint even made the record.
You get a bonus disc right now and every chain has a good price on it. Pick it up if you like Nas or rap music in general.
You won't be disappointed.
(PLUS, you get the Thugz Mansion song with 2pac and it's a different than the one on Pac's album)

I grabbed this, haven't had a lot of time to listen to it..
Nas' voice always had something to it that I liked, but some of his other albums, sort of...sucked...so I've been mildly turned off. Hopefully this brings my interest back

The single is hot...what's the name? Caught my attention!
NaS making one whole good solid album would really stand out in today's tired hip-hop climate.

This is easily up to the level of Stillmatic, maybe even better! Too bad after this we'll probably see the influence of Murda Inc...
My favorite track is either Nas' version of Thugz Mansion, or I Can... just brilliant.
"Be, be, 'fore we came to this country
We were kings and queens, never porch monkeys
It was empires in Africa called Kush
Timbuktu, where every race came to get books
To learn from black teachers who taught Greeks and Romans
Asian Arabs and gave them gold when
Gold was converted to money it all changed
Money then became empowerment for Europeans
The Persian military invaded
They heard about the gold, the teachings and everything sacred
Africa was almost robbed naked
Slavery was money, so they began making slave ships
Egypt was the place that Alexander the Great went
He was so shocked at the mountains with black faces
Shot up they nose to impose what basically
Still goes on today, you see?
If the truth is told, the youth can grow
They learn to survive until they gain control
Nobody says you have to be gangstas, hoes
Read more learn more, change the globe"

I need to get my hands on a good copy of God's Son, then I'll be able to evaluate it. I liked the crappy quality real audio tracks I heard though.

No comment on the album, or how gerry is all over 2Pac's nutsack? The album is good, one of my favorites this year.

And no comment on how every rap album has to be compared to 2Pac's Better Days, which is by far the worst 2 Pac album I've heard. All Eyez On Me

I think this album is great, but not sure if it's better than Stillmatic.
Noteable tracks on God's Son:
Get Down
The Cross
Warrior Song
Hey Nas
Dance
Heaven
Made You Look
I give it a 8/10.
