Another solid episode for a defunct series.
I simply love the undercurrent of situational humor in this show.
Having River play mind games withe Early was very clever.
Jayne and his drool was a good touch.

I really liked this episode as well. "Am I a lion?" Interesting that Early said that the shepherd wasn't a shepherd. He is an interesting character, and it would have been interesting to see where he went. After all, he did get rushed through the Alliance to the hospital when he showed them his ID.

I suspect that Shepard was an alliance commando or something who repented...that seems rather cliche. Never know tho.
Missed this episode, doubt i'll ever see it now.
The commercial seemed kinda trippy tho, the lawyer from Law & Order as an intergalactic bounty hunter seemed kinda...odd

The way they write the characters and the audience expectation is just fun stuff (like Jayne hearing a noise, rolling over, tugs on the blanket, exposing his arsenal, and then he just crawls under the blanket to catch more shut-eye).

I almost wish River HAD become a part of the ship. Kinda a touch of Farscape.
Sad to see this one go just when it gets good. Very sad. I wasn't even really enjoying the show much until the last two or three shows, but was finally getting into it.

This is the first time I've watched the show in a month and I really liked this one. The back and forth between the bounty hunter and the crew was good. The scene with Jane and the guns was funny. It's to bad the show didn't start this good.

This was a good episode. Seeing the promo for what should've been the pilot was irritating, though. If Fox had to mess with the intended episode order, they could have at least given the show more time to recover.

Solid episode. I like Richard Brooks so it's nice to see him back. The scene with Jayne and his guns had me totally fooled. I was like finally he's waking up then realized not so much. It will be nice to finally see the pilot episode even if it is the last episode we'll see.

Props to Firefly for hiring Henry from "GvsE"!

Another solid episode - what a way for a show to get cancelled!
I loved the philosophical yet psychotic bounty hunter. Too many times the adversary is written to gain sympathy or hatred of this audience, but this one seemed to be right in the middle - for me anyway. He was scary and compelling at the same time - if the show went on, I might have liked him to join the crew.
I completely fell for River becoming the ship - especially because they seemed to be finding a reason for the Doctor to stay on. But I'm glad it was just a trick.
Jayne going back to sleep was the best moment...
"it might have been"
(sigh)

There's already a fan movement to get UPN to pick up the show. Since they picked up Buffy, I'd say the motivation is there, but you wonder about contractual issues.
