I think it might be pretty good especially if they do some Bush/Gore skits.

Nancy Kerrigan is going to have a strong contender for her title of Worst. Host. Ever.

Let's keep a running count of how many times Gore's wooden demeanor is used as a punchline. My initial guess is 1,134,229.

Honk!

I have a feeling it will be a lack luster show.

I think the John McCain episode was probably the best episode of SNL this season (not saying much, I know) so I haven't given up all hope for a decent show with Gore.

SNL hasn't been funny since the Martin Short days, with a few exceptions. I wish they'd just call it quits already.

The opening skit w/ reality show running mate, and the Chris Matthews hardball, were actually pretty funny.

So far its been pretty good. Weekend update was weak, not gore's fault though.

Better than John McCain's episode.

Pretty bad prediction there, best show I've seen in quite a while.

Yeah I'm sure Al Franken decided to come back just for "Al G". Funny Dubya wasn't in there at all. It would have been great if Farrell was still on and he and Al Gore could have had a discussion.

I almost forgot Gore's running mate's name (Lieberman). Did they do a sketch with him on the show?

I would have rather seen an Al Gore vs Al Gore with Darrell Hammond as one of the Gores.

The Robert Smigel cartoon was great too.

Didn't like the Franken bit at all, never did.

Thought it was ok. The Hardball and bachelor skits were the best, though the best part of the hardball skit is always Hammond's Chris Matthews. In that skit Tracy Morgan did the exact same voice for Sharpton that he used for Belafontae from the McCain.

On the contrary, I feel my prediction was right on. Terrible show. Even Weekend Update was bad. When they have to resurrect Stuart freaking Smalley, the absolute worst SNL character since Joe Piscopo and Robin Duke were The Whiners, you know quality comedy is not in the cards for the night.

The only laughs came from TV Funhouse, which was excellent. The Christmas season just wouldn't be the same without seeing the Peanuts kids waving their arms and magically transforming the tree.

Honk!

Self fulfilling prophesy I say Just kidding, humor is subjective, but Al Gore handled this acting bit pretty good and wasn't afraid to make fun of himself. Better than a lot of other guest stars I've seen on the show, but not as good as the best for sure.

Oink!

I'd say it ranks up with there a little above Brittany Spears on SNL, and a little below Garth Brooks, in terms of non-actors on SNL at least.

Hey CG, do you work for Goose Island or just a fan?

I was basically watching just for Phish (wonder why they didn't do "Round Room" as their song from the new album, since it blows away "46 Days" and is short enough for a 4-minute spot), and was flipping around a bit when they weren't on. I thought most of it wasn't very funny, but the Robert Smigel Charlie Brown was great, and the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory skit was good also. That may have been the worst Weekend Update segment from the Jimmy & Tina era I've seen, though...

Best political moment on SNL, ever: [The real] Janet Reno bursting through the brick wall at Janet Reno's Dance Party.
