Tv/DVD Combos, Help please
I've decided to get my girlfriend a TV with built in dvd player, I know I'm not going to be getting the highest quality here but she doesn't really care about any of that she just wants a dvd player and her tv she has is a piece of junk so I thought I'd replace it.
I'm kind of on a tight budget at the moment so I'd be looking for something preferably under $400 and it doesn't need to be any bigger than 20".
I've been looking at the RCA BD20TF10 and it seems to be a pretty nice set, but I haven't really been able to find any reviews of it. Any feedback at all would be greatly greatly appreciated. Thankyou

TV/DVD combo units are like most combo units in that they're not a popular item among HT regulars and tend to have iffy engineering.
With a $400 budget, is there any reason you wouldn't consider getting a decent 20" TV for around $250 and spending the rest on a DVD player?
There have been several threads on DVD players lately, so you should be able to search through old posts for recommendations on those. Asking for a recommendation on just a 20" TV might get you a better response.

I would suggest again getting a combo. They most likely are going to skimp on something. Get a nice TV on sale, get a nice DVD player on sale..best of both worlds, same money.

If you must get a combo unit, Costco usually has some. In-store I think I've mostly seen Toshibas, but online they have a JVC flat-screen unit for $350 + $40 shipping. The Toshibas I've seen are also flat-screen models.

Not sure if these guys are still up to date or not, but www.audioreview.com might also be a good place to look for reviews.
Might try cnet.com too, but I don't know if they did DVD/TV combo reviews yet.
