I just caught the early version of this weeks Simpsons. I will put my thoughts and a mini-recap in spoilers...

The episode was pretty good. My expectations were at rock bottom before seeing this episode. Most of the jokes were in good taste and not full of sexual innuedoes. I loved the Jackass parody with Bart/Milhouse. It was also nice to see some returning characters from past Simpsons eps (Stampy the elephant, Lindsay Neagle, the surgeon from Pygmoelian).

Hey did any of you catch the fox ad that was in between the second and the third segment where it has Bart and Marge said, "Fox, good clean fun."
Meanwhile, this whole episode is about Marge having implant and some hanky panky going on with Homer and all..... It just didn't felt right.

I thought it was good for the first half, so-so in the second half. The best line was when Homer goes "I don't have my wedding ring anymore. It's inside a turtle."

I didn't really like the episode that much either (it didn't help the Simpsons that I'd just seen this week's South Park last night) but it had its moments. My favorite part was Maggie dancing along to Bart's "Lisa learned a lesson" dance.

It was an ok episode. I've seen better.
Did anybody notice that the "Who Let the Dogs Out" parodies were actually done by the Baha Men, the artists (if you can call them that) of the original song? I was suprised, because I thought they sounded fake, like when Bart joined the boy band, and I just assumed they hired voice-over people to sing that. Huh.

I thought the show was pretty decent. Funny for the first half and then sort of dragged for the second. I really didn't like the homer song much. not really all that needed if you ask me.

I didn't like this episode too much. Best gag for me was the "Former Presidents as Three Stooges" bit.
Didja notice that Clinton made another appearence later on as one of the leering men in the window?

The Three Stooges bit was really funny.
Although the episode had relatively few hilarious moments, the whole Jackass parody with Otto, Skinner, the flag, and the veterans had me busting a gut!

Just watched the episode again on tape. It stood up pretty well. I don't know about you guys but I thought the funniest moment of that episode is when Marge sang "Who Let the Milk Out", that had me more than the musical number in the 2nd act. I still think the funniest moment so far this season is the bullemic Tom Brokaw from last weeks ep.

Thought this week's ep was a lot better than last week's flag ep.
Especially liked the Batman homage, tho a more 1960s style Krusty would have been nice......

So, was the scene with Marge telling Bart to look her in the eyes, with Bart replying "I'm trying" in the episode? It was in a commercial, but I don't remember seeing it in the actual episode.

Guessing you mean interviewing George Meaney on a B&W show, with both wearing dated black suits and narrow ties, and smoking non-stop. And let's not forget about Sideshow Rahim ("I wouldn't do that if I was you....").
I guess the act material may not change much at times, but Krusty sure picks up on the latest trends and pop culture.....

Hey, I don't remember seeing that scene (between Bart and marge) either... possibly cut from the show? Or did we both just miss it?
