Paul McCartney Live CD Question

Hi. BestBuy.com is offering both a basic 2-CD set and a CD set with "bonus DVD" included. I looked at Amazon and I can't see any listing for this bonus set. Does anyone know what is on the bonus DVD? It's not a complete concert DVD like Clapton's set is it? Thanks.

ps : The item listing is here

No, it is not the complete conert. That's the DVD I'm talking about. Rather it's a compilation of behind the scenes stuff meshed with clips from the shows during the tour. My understanding is there are no complete songs! I like that they included the behind the scenes stuff, but not including the whole concert start-to-finish is a crime.

First of all, my appologies, this was suppused to be put in the Music Talk thread, not here. Mods, please feel free to move it.
If the Concert DVD isn't the whole show like you said, that's shocking. The show was great live. I just can't believe that the concert wouldn't be entire songs; obviously the CD is. I guess I'll just have to wait until it's on TV next week before I decide on whether I'll buy it now.

Nono, the concert DVD will be the whole show. The "bonus DVD" included with the Best Buy set is just clips.

The bonus DVD and Concert DVD are not the same thing.

Well, the DVD packaging has me a little spooked. They call it "The Ultimate Backstage Pass" and talk about scenes of Paul on tour, on his plane at parties and the like. Yes, it does mention over 30 songs in 5.1, but I'm a little concerned that this will be more like a concert road film (like Rattle & Hum) and not a concert video. If anyone knows for sure, please post here, otherwise I think I'll pick up the CD instead. I just want the songs, not a lot of backstage goofing around

I love the DVD--looks and sounds great. However, if you just want the music, you'd better get the CD as the DVD has a lot of non-concert stuff.

Truly amazing during the concert sequences to see people from 6 to 60 who know every word to these songs...

Are all the songs performed complete, beginning-to-end, or are they interupted half way through?

Kinda a dissapointment. The dvd is not a full concert from begining to end. it has stuff edited inbetween the songs...and the songs are form diffrent shows. They should have released a complete show...then had the behind the sceens stuff as extras..on the one plus note it has dts.....

hmm.. still unclear to me -

is there anything on the best buy exclusive dvd (packaged with the cd) that isn't on the real dvd itself?? is it a waste to get both dvds, or is there something on the bb cd/dvd that's not on the real thing??

The DVD is a bonus CD single of "Matchbox". I don't know if that song is on the regular program or not.

I must warn anyone planning on buying the DVD and then using it to burn CDR copies for audio only listening. I didn't watch the DVD in its entirety, but there are many annoying cuts to fans' screaming reactions, which if you were listening to it in the car might be a tad annoying. Also lots of cuts to behind the scenes footage that takes away from enjoyment of watching a concert.

I bought both the CD and DVD and now am very glad that I spent the money and did. YMMV
