Buffy question - what's with Anya and ... (Spoilers Likely)
OK, I know on Buffy there is some running joke about Anya being scared of
But I missed the episode where this is explained. Can someone fill me in? Thanks!

Actually I think it was explained recently, where the show her origins. Something about her wanting to raise bunnies, and a hint that it got out of control, but I could be forgetting something.

In that episode, she was told to wear something frightening, and that's why Anya is dressed in a bunny outfit. Somewhere in her past, bunnies did a number on Anya.

It's just always been a running joke, and part of the joke is that it's so random... They toyed with the idea of giving it a real logical explanation in the Anya-origins episode, but decided not to really go into it. I'd be surprised if they ever go farther into the "real reasons" at this point.

Well Cr@p. I have not seen Seasons 3 and 4 yet and I was hoping that the bunny thing was hidden somewhere in those seasons. I guess now it will never be completly explained.
Oh well.

In an interview a while back, Whedon did say that he was going to reveal Anya's fear of bunnies this season. However, maybe he felt that it was revealed in the earlier episode of the season in which it showed her raising bunnies.
