Gamers, set your TiVo / VCR ...
... the XBox is coming to QVC !
This should be good for a laugh
QVC is having an XBox show on Tues, Nov 26 at 7pm. It's scheduled for 1 hour.
Pitchmen who are clueless about games selling hardware and games at inflated prices to customers who are even more clueless about games.
It'll be comedy gold

I remember when the 3DO out of desperation tried the same thing. Its a pretty sad way to sell your console. I can't wait to see them bungle their way through the Xbox's features.

They "should" give a deal (like $10 off) to the kind couch potatoes who would be watching, since most of them probably have Wal-Mart's catalog memorized by now. Or they may offer free shipping. Who knows. I can tell you, though, that MS does pay QVC for the time, because that's 1 hour of prime-time going into at least 1 million households uninterrupted. It will also have at least 1 Microsoft person on-hand to demonstrate the games (SegaGT & JSRF, obviously), so it's not going to be quite as embarrassing as you may think.
Now, when QVC aired one of those "all-in-1" games with 90 or so NES games jammed onto a RAM cartridge and played through an emulator ... with games like "Joust" only with the copyright text removed ... that's when the idiots at QVC should be outed for trafficking pirated games. Did I mention that after I mentioned the item to Nintendo's legal dept., that it was nowhere to be found on QVC's site when I checked later that day? :-)

I've already deleted all home shopping channels off of my TiVo tuner. Don't need Tivo recording some show on it's own from those crap channels.
Does sound funny though... heh.
