XBL - who's getting it and XBL DVDTalk clans?
Title pretty much says it all. If you are getting XBL, which games? Maybe we can see if we have enough people for various clans. Seems like the SOCOM clan is doing pretty good, but it also seems like those are strictly PS2 gamers.
Me? Getting XBL, and probably Ghost Recon (or else the Mech game, but I think GR looks better) and then maybe Unreal.

Already on XBox Live. Everyone be sure and post in GoLucky's DVDtalk Gamertag thread when you get online.
Mechassault looks like to be the big game for XBox Live. It's averaging 90% over ar gamerankings from Avault, Gamespot, IGN, and Gamespy. The guys at Penny-Arcade and Planet Gamecube even like it.
I've already preordered UC from FYE during the $29.99 price mistake. I will probably pick up Mechassult this week and NHL 2K3 the following week.

Is Mechassault strategy oriented for online? Does it lend itself to clans and teamwork?
I love SOCOM so I expect to love Ghost Recon. I believe it's even more bullet sensitive (just one bullet, head shot doesn't matter It hink) and that's fine with me (too many times unloading on people in SOCOM only to see them walk away).
FYE cancelled my order because of a credit card I cancelled that was stolen, I have to call them up and try and salvage my order.

It's not like Mechwarrior. It's a Lamen's version. You can jump in at any time without having to tediously customize every part of your mech.
It's really centered on fast and furious action with some strategy. Read the IGN review or others if you need to get a feel for the game.

Unless they send me a full copy of Fever 2003, my primary games will be Moto GP (team play???), Mech Assault, and Unreal at the start.

I already ordered UC. I wasn't real impreesed by the beta games but Unreal should be awsome on XBL. I am thinking about getting Mech assault after all the good things I am hearing. I also can't wait for NHL2k3 .

I sure do miss playing LIVE with you guys. I wish MS Repair would hurry up and get my Xbox back to me. 
What if the dummies have cleared my HD. Since I've recieved my retail disc, will I have to just load it or will I have to load the Beta all over again and will it recognize my original account?

I'll be getting Ghost Recon and probably MechAssault this week. There are only a few guys from our SOCOM clan that have an XBOX so only a few of us will be playing GR. I hope the MS servers are better than the SOCOM servers...if they are I may go ahead and sell my copy of SOCOM.

I'm definitely picking up MechAssault next week and (depending on what I can negotiate with the wife) hope to get Ghost Recon. I'd be in for some clan fighting. Who's in charge of this operation?

UPS just dropped off the Official Live Starter Disk. I'll fire it up tonight and see if anything on the dashboard changes.

I read that using the new disc will do two things.
1. take you off the beta servers and add you to the "real" servers
2. not let your xbox connnect, if your xbox is "modded"
It makes no difference to me, go for it!
