Was just over at Borders: the new Badly Drawn Boy album does indeed have the bonus second disc: "Live at Glastonbury Festival"
Jarsim, let me know what you think about the new Suede album, I was bitterly disappointed in it. I think you will like the James and A-Ha DVD's, I have.

The last time I saw James, in Birmingham UK, my friend and I were in the back of the indoor stadium and as a treat to thousands of fans (in the back) Tim Booth came off stage and sang from our section of the venue - it was fantastic!

Giles, yes, I too am very disappointed in the latest Suede CD.
But then of course, I have only listened to the CD twice. Often, it takes me more listens before I really get into a CD. However, I do remember that I instantly liked "Head Music" the first time I listened to it and was further blown away when I saw them with two of my other favorite bands, Wilco and R.E.M. in Germany in 1999. (my all-time favorite concert)
I have to say I'm disappointed in Richard Ashcroft's latest too, again though having only listened to it twice. Supergrass started to warm on me already on the second listen. Idlewild I liked the first listen.
I'm excited for the James and A-Ha DVDs, I've ordered them from Canada as they're not available widely in the US.
Last time, I was in Birmingham, saw the Smashing Pumpkins at NEC. (if I remember the venue name correctly)

Okay, now that pisses me off that Region 1 (Canadian) editions of the James/A-Ha dvds were released. oh well, I usually can't wait for Region 1 releases, anyway, so I guess that's my loss. Have you heard if Canada is going to see a release of the upcoming Jools Holland DVD (my fingers are crossed that it will)
Yup you are correct, the Birmingham NEC, the acoutics of the place really surprised me.

Nope, my parade's not rained on . . . usually it's about the same price or very little more to have CDs released in the UK weeks to month in advance of the US release since there's no VAT. I'm too impatient to wait for possible US releases for some of my favorite (lesser known) UK artists.
Plus, now that I've found www.cd-wow.com it looks like it'll work out cheaper than amazon.co.uk, since most of their CDs are around $13.50 shipped.

new u2 mixes are odd, but growing on me,
Larry is singing on Numb now ha ha
The bjork box set looks cool, the packaging on the 3" cd's are beautiful.
Giles I was in both wherehouse and Tower and neither had the ltd BDB release, the tower guy who was super nice told me that it was a limited release import....
You say you got it at Borders, how much?
