Favorite new shows of the season?
My favorite new comedy is Do Over on the WB.
My favorite new drama is Without a Trace.
The other new shows that I have stuck with are CSI: Miami, Boomtown, Fastlane, and 8 Simple Rules for My Teenage Daughter. I have also caught a few episodes of American Dreams - that is pretty good.

Jury's still out for me right now, but I'd guess favorite new comedy is 8 Simple Rules ... (though I'm really liking Do Over) and new drama, maybe Everwood or Without a Trace.

I also watch John Doe and 8 Simple Rules for Dating my Teenage Daughter.
I watched 1 1/4 episodes of Fast Lane, but it sucked so bad that I'm regretful that I ever watched it.
I also thought Birds of Prey sucked, so I've given up on it already.
I liked girls club, but that show got canned already.

I really hope that the WB gives it a chance. I know that they already gave it a full season order, but I hope they aren't expecting too much from it come renewal time since it is in a murderous timeslot.

Robbery Homicide Division is excellent - I really like the cast, particularly Tom Sizemore, he is just awesome in it. The writing doesn't seem half bad either. I hope this doesn't get the axe, I thought that I have read rumors that it might, I hope CBS gives it a chance, but they need to take it off of Friday night and show it earlier in the week.
John Doe is good and quirky so far, I kind of like how it seems that every episode gets more bizarre than the previous ones, though I missed last weeks. I think they should put this on Monday's after Boston Public, now that they have space in that slot.
Firefly doesn't seem too bad so far, nothing particularly great, but there are a lot worse shows on the tube - being on Friday night is going to kill it though, too.
I keep hearing Presidio Med is good, but I haven't had a chance to watch it. My sister tells me it has a really good cast, I am not sure if I want to watch another hospital drama (I already have ER)
Has anyone seen this? What do you think?

Haunted
Robbery Homicide Division
Boomtown
And 2 out of the 3 seem to be in ratings trouble. I'm also watching "CSI: Miami" and "Hack". Quickly dropped off my list were "Everwood", "MDs" and "Without a Trace".

Less Than Perfect is pretty good. I like it better than that Bonnie Hunt show. It's getting more boring each week. The self-depricating humor could be toned down a bit for "Less than Perfect", though.
I also enjoy "Everwood"...and I can tolerate "Birds of Prey". I wanted to like "Firefly" and "Haunted", but I don't care for either very much.

I can't get into Less Than Perfect. The supporting cast is pretty good, with some great familiar character actors, but that type of humor has never appealed to me.

Weird. My post didn't show up. Oh well.
So far i'm enjoying John Doe & mds. I'm really trying to give Firefly a chance but between my past vacation & Fox's creative order of the episodes, it's been kind of tough and i'm thisclose to just giving up.
As far as Birds Of Prey goes...I d/l the pilot ep [with Sherilyn Fenn] watched it once and regretted it ever since. This past Wednesday I caught about 10 minutes and realized i'm not missing much. [I'm not even going to start with Mia Sara...]
Anyways...mds will return December 4th. Maybe if ABC takes a page from CBS/NBC and retitles it CSI:mds or Law And Order: mds the ratings will improve?

'MDs' gets scrubbed for the sweeps
There won't be a doctor in the house at ABC next month.
The network, concerned by lower-than-hoped-for ratings for the medical drama "MDs," will shelve the show during the all-important November sweeps, which get underway tonight.
"MDs" debuted to lukewarm reviews, and got a similar response from viewers.
After five episodes, the series has averaged 6.67 million viewers in its 10 p.m. Wednesday slot, according to Nielsen Media Research.
By comparison, 7.6 million viewers have been tuning to the competition on CBS, the medical drama "Presidio Med." Both shows have been left far behind by NBC's "Law & Order," which has averaged 18.6 million viewers this season.
"MDs" stars William Fitchner ("A Perfect Storm") and John Hannah as doctors struggling with their personal lives and corporate control of their hospital.
ABC programmers said yesterday they've been encouraged by recent episodes.
The show will return to the schedule on Dec. 4, following the sweeps, a quarterly ratings period local stations use to set advertising rates. However, the network has yet to pick up enough episodes of "MDs" to get it through the season.
Executives at ABC said they'll wait until after the Dec. 4 show to decide the series' fate.
