What's with this pick and choose what to censor?

I'm really not getting the idea of why Toys R Us has decided not to carry bmx xxx but it's ok to sell Vice City. What's with our society that we have to say "No" to a game that has nudity and might promote sex? Then a game like GTA 3 or Vice City where go around with Drug Dealers, hookers, bad language, robbing people, stealing cars, shooting cops, and just killing anyone in general is ok. I think Toys R Us really needs to think about this. I think the only reason that Vice City was ok for them cause they knew it was going to be a huge money maker while bmx xxx may just do ok. If they are going to censor one title from their store, they should take aim at all.

I'm with the stores on this particular issue. They need to ban all Acclaim, Midway, and 3DO titles.

I guess they are doing the public a favor by preventing them from financial loss since these companies haven't produced a good game in a while

Quite frankly, Toys R Us is just matching society. They know they won't get nearly as many angry phone calls about violent games as they will about a little nudity. And they're right. American Parents: the very model of messed-up priorities.

In our society, violence in the entertainment media is fine but sex isn't.

It's stupid but that's the way it is.

Plus, Vice City will be a huge seller as it's a sequel to one of the most popular games ever, where as BMX XXX probably won't sell very well, if posts on the net are any indication. Many, myself included, seem to think it's just a stupid game. There's no logical reason to have topless chicks, FMV of strippers, and a sniper mode in a BMX game. It's just a lame gimmick.

The crime and violence in GTA is justifited because it is the point of the game. You are a criminal, you have to commit crimes.

There's no reason for a BMX game to involve shooting people or strip teases.

In GTA Vice City, you can use a knife and slash a woman in a bikini. That's just fine according to TRU, but if you show some boobies, then hell hath no fury like a giraffe's scorn.
