The picture is anamorphic and is a very good print. The DTS track is very good as well.

The movie itself is slight but enjoyable, very much in the vein of the Besson scripted/produced films Taxi and Taxi 2. Jean Reno mercifully does not have to suffer through that many embarrasing situations, and most of the comedy arises from Reno's character's approach to detective work, which involves hitting a lot of people.

I saw it on vcd and then ordered this dvd immediately after. I enjoyed it quite a bit- not much thinking involved, but seeing Jean Reno play DDR was worth it

skokefoe.

HK DVD is letterbox only, not anamorphically enhanced. Half decent video-sourced trasnfer but pails in comparison to the French (non-subtitled!) dvd. Definition, detail, and a lack of compression artifacts on the French release set it far above the HK disc.

You're correct, the back of the box states "16:9 LB," which I took to mean anamorphic.

Thank you so much. I think that i WILL get it regardless of the fact that the disc is not anamorphic. I love Jean Reno so....
