I saw in the DVD Bargains forum that it'll be $39.99 at b&m locations too...will that $5 coupon making the rounds in recent issues of GamePro and assorted magazines be applicable? $39.99 is a very nice price, but $34.99 is even better.

What i'm afraid of is people doing this for instore pickup. Enough people do it for in store pickup and the next thing you know, the store has no copies left to just walk in and buy that morning.

Hmmm...now I'm torn. The weekend ad says that it will be available on 10/30 while the website says 10/29. I wonder what the correct date will be, since I want to call in late for work to go pick it up before it gets sold out?

According to the ad, it says available 10/30, however the street date is supposed to be 10/29. I work there, and our store's policy to is just put everything out when it comes, in regards to games. However, since this is such a huge title, they may hold it until Wednesday. Call your local BB to find out.

Yeah, as you can tell they are on backorder right now from the few previous posts, i doubt they will take online orders until they get stock. However, WHEN will that be????? I'm kinda curious too, since mine is on backorder......

I'm tempted to see if the local Best Buy(s) have it today. It seems that some put them out, and some did not. Hopefully my friend is working today, maybe he can hold me one or pull some strings.

I just came back from BB located on 23rd St. & 6th Ave. in NYC. They have ViceCity in the store. I picked up a copy. They are flying out of the store. At least 1/2 the people at the checkout line had a copy. BB would not honor the $5 off coupon from EGM magazine since this $39.99 price is a special sale price. oh well. I'll use it on something else next time. Can't wait to try it out at home tonight.

I cancelled my order because it went on backorder status.

My advice is to hurry to BB and see if it's on the shelves. They don't do pre-orders at the store, and they get tons of copies. It's best bet. If they don't have it, grab a brochure on the way out that advertises the price. Take it to Wal-Mart (or Sears, or whereever) and they'll price match it.

I know for a fact the Wal-Mart SuperCenter on 1604 in San Antonio has plenty of copies.

For those of you with no local BB or it's out of stock in the stores, buy.com has the game back in stock--$49.99, free shipping. It was out of stock yesterday. And usually they ship pretty fast with free shipping, unlike amazon. (And I guess if you buy 4, you could get $15 back with the coupon.)

I got my copy finally....my friend works at Best Buy, so he picked it up for me. Now i'm going to have TWO, i guess i'll return the one i pre-ordered whenver they ship it since it is on backorder
