What the hell kind of contraption ate that poor TurboGrafx system?
Where's BONK when you need him? God, I loved Bonk. The only video game who's sole amusement was to watch your character repeatedly brain himself.

ive never seen it! Does it play Nintendo games? BTW, i think i can get my hands on this whole unit. I wonder if any nostalgic enthusiasts would want it. Or the games at least. I just LOVE those controllers!

There were some great games available for the TurboGrafx... if you can pick one up, you're in for a treat! You just have to find some games.
Splatterhouse, Bonk's Adventure and Legendary Axe were pretty damn good.

Yes, Turbografx was known as PC Engine in Japan. It also had two of the greatest games ever made for it: Ys Book 1 and 2 (RPG) and Dracula X: Rolando of Blood (came over here as Castlevania X on SNES, was not as good...this is in the Castlevania series). Both are CD-based though and Dracula X was Japan only.

H@ll yeah, I had one of those. (minus that crappy stand)
I agree, the built in turbo buttons was sweet, as well as those games, being like a pcmci card practically.
Bonk ruled, as well as Splatterhouse, Golden Axe etc..
Man wish I still had mine

A buddy of mine used to have a Turbo Grafx 16 and a Turbo Express with the TV Tuner.
Does anyone else remember those kiosks in Toys R Us? I played that Zonk shooter game every time I went.

There was a ninja game for TurboGrafx that was pretty sweet. Was it called Ninja Fury?
And of course, Splatterhouse and Bonk's Adventure were classic.

Whoa, that's a blast from the past! TurboGrafix 16 was home of my very favorite space shooter of all time: Blazing Lasers! Man, that game was awesome! Once your lasers were fully upgraded, they zig-zagged all over the place covering the entire screen, laying waste to any unfortunate enemies that happen to be in the way.

Turbografix came out in 89 - the same year the Sega Genesis came out. The Genesis was a 16-bit system as well. Neo-Geo in 90, CD-I and Super Nintendo in 91, and 3DO and Atari Jaguar in 93. This is all like just a decade ago or so... not really that long ago considering the Atari 2600 came out 25 years ago, and the Magnavox Odyssey came out over 30 years ago.

I am the proud owner of a TurboGraphix 16 since day 1. I had Bonk's Adventure and Keith Courage: Adventure in Alpha Zone or whatever it was called. I have lost my games due to the fact they are the size of a credit card and get lost easily. But I still have the system and controller.
