I was channel surfing and saw a sketch that I've seen previously (the Michael Jordan one), so I assume it's a repeat episode. That's rather odd, since the season already began, but Yahoo says it's a new episode.

Alex Borstein left MadTV??!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Damn, she was being severly underused last season, which made Miss Swan such a treat when she appeared. Will Sasso's going to hurt a lot too, much moreso than SNL losing Farrell. I loved his Arnold and Steven Seagal, not very realistic, but damn funny.

I miss them too, but the show's still good. I thought it would go downhill after Nicole Sullivan left but I don't think so now. And isn't Deborah Wilson the only original cast member?

what will the two do next? this isn't SNL were they would look forward to some 15 minutes of fame with a few crappy movies. MadTv stars don't seem to have much a lifespan after the show

Deborah Wilson is the only one left of the original cast. Only Nicole Sullivan and Deborah were left and then Nicole took a small role in King of Queens.
Fellow MadTV cast members. The original fat guy, can't remember his name, is one of the smart ass sidekicks on the Howard Stern show. Orlando Jones, the other original black guy besides Phil, did those highly successful 7up commercials and has appeared in films such as Evolution (a flop, I know). The gal who played hilarious Dixie Wexworth had a recurring role on Martin Short's talkshow/comedy. They are doing other things.
The new cast is younger and unfortunately haven't found their characters yet. Stephanie Weir, considered the older of the new cast, is really weird-looking and see speaks funny and her characters are really grating. The new fat guy who does the impersonations like Robin Williams seems to try too hard. Among the rest of the new, young cast members, I like the Asian guy.
Other than that, Mike McDonald is hilarious with the kid character, the nerd, the Angry, Persian, Tow-truck man... The gal who plays the kid's mom is hilarious too. And Aries Spears and Deborah round out the best of the cast.

I'll miss Will and Alex doing the red carpet at award shows. I won't miss Miss Swan at all. She was way overplayed. No more Kenny Rogers?
They still have a good cast though. I watched the SNL premier, and as usual it stunk. I don't know why they insist on keeping that show at 90 minutes. The last half hour has always been worthless even when the first hour is good. Usually they are lucky if the first half hour is good. I'll take MadTV over SNL any day.

MadTV is usually more consistant. Many people who have only watched SNL need to give MadTV a try.
Will and Alex doing the red carpet was great. Great teamwork and hilarious as hell.
