Smashing Pumpkins to release "Vieuphoria" DVD in Novermber!

From totalrock.com

"The Smashing Pumpkins are to have their "Vieuphoria" long form video made available on DVD in mid-November. This will feature about 20 minutes of extra footage. A CD version called "earphoria" is also being planned."

All I have to say is it's about friggin' time. I wonder what the added footage will include???

Performances found on the original video for "Vieuphoria" -- including a 1993 acoustic take of "Cherub Rock" from MTV Europe, a live version of "Today" recorded in the band's hometown of Chicago, and a 1992 performance of "Slunk" from a Japanese television appearance -- will be augmented by some recently unearthed studio footage of the Pumpkins recording their major label debut, "Siamese Dream."

"Vieuphoria," the Pumpkins' first video release, shies away from the group's promotional video clips, instead showcasing live performances, taken mostly from the 1994 tour in support of "Siamese Dream," intercut with skits and backstage footage. The expanded version of "Vieuphoria" may also end up containing rare TV performances chronicling promotional efforts for the Pumpkins' 1991 Caroline debut, "Gish," but their inclusion is still pending.

It will be nice to have this on dvd, but when will the final show(s) dvd that has long been rumored ever be released?

Amen! I'll pick this one up, but it's the final show DVD that I'd pay HUGE $ to get my hands on!

Heard the Metro dvd is to come out sometime in 03. Corgan didnt' have the time, working on Zwan, and the people who are gonna do it, were busy working on the GATMOG cartoons.

Beats me if it's of any substance.

I couldnt' agree more. I don't have to have anything fancy for that metro dvd, just the entire show, uncut, with the documentary on it.
