Receiver tuner problem FM signal
Not sure if this is the right forum, but I figured there are people here who can help.
I have a stereo receiver that I just recently hooked back up.
The problem is that I can't get any FM signals when I switch to the tuner. I just get static. No hint of any kind of signal.
I hooked up the antenna, but nothing at all.
It's a Pioneer VSX-502. I just don't know what else to do.
Is my receiver fried? Everything else seems to work fine.
Thanks for any help.

...just to eliminate this as a source of the problem, did you hook up both the AM loop antenna and the FM antenna on your receiver?
If not, that would explain why you're not getting FM reception.
...if you did hook them both up, then hopefully someone else will have more useful input.

Thanks for the help.
Yes, both are hooked up. The AM signal seems fine too.
I just can't figure it out. I've never had it hooked up since I moved here. All my other radios are able to receive FM signals though.

It could be too much interference with all of your other components/TV in the same area. That's not unusual. Try running the wires for the antenna away from the setup. I would suggest outlining a nearby window with wire and running it to the antenna inputs from there.
