Is Madden 2003 similar to NCAA 2003?

Ok, besides the ovious differences (teams, Madden mini-games, franchies mode etc.) are the graphics, replays, feel, presentation and animations similar between Madden 2003 and NCAA 2003?

I've played NCAA 2003 for the Gamecube for several days now...good game, but I got some gripes:

1) The replays are pretty lame...besides being rare, they cut out a lot and don't use a lot of the cool features like in Madden 2002 (Matrix style replays etc.)

2) The game's players feel heavy and difficult to move....I know this has been the same feel for years now with EA football games. I was just wondering if Madden 2003 has the same feel....I personally can't control crap sometimes and prefer the 2K series for this reason.

There are also some other minor things...but my main question is do both have the same overall feel, graphically and control-wise? If so, I'll pick up 2K3.

I was tempted to get NFL 2k3 for this same reason. I was afraid having NCAA 2003 and Madden 2003 would be like having 2 of the same game. Once I heard about the flaws in NFL 2k3 though I was forced to get Madden. I don't regret my decision at all. The feel of the gameplay is different. I'm not sure how exactly but I think maybe it's faster. This is the NFL after all. The sound is very different. There are different announcers of course and the college fight songs are gone, replaced with crappy stadium music. The replays might be the biggest change of all though. They truly do rock in Madden. They're like little music videos or something. I've never really cared about replays in the 10+ years I've been playing sports games but these have opened my eyes as to what's possible.

Despite all that the 2 games do have more similarities than NCAA 2003 and NFL 2k3 have. I think Madden is the better game though so I suggest that's the way you go.

I think both EA football titles have "heavy" players... I think it's an attempt to portray inertia.

Which flaws do you speak of? I'm a Madden man myself, but I was going to buy NFL 2K3 first since I just got NCAA 2003 not too long ago. If there are flaws however (especially to GC version), I can perhaps save my money...

I was talking about how receivers drop the ball every time they are hit and how successful pass vs. a blitz often leads to a TD. I haven't played the game myself, my brother has though and I've read all the reviews and as far as I'm concerned those flaws do exist. Some people will tell you different though...
