2 questions about dvd sales...

1. how many units did the first season of the simpsons sell?

2. are double, or triple, discs counted as 1, 2, or 3 individual sales? similar to how the music industy counts sales...pink floyd's the wall has sold 16 million copies, but only 8 million individual in fact own the album

I don't see what being a film buff has to do with how sales for DVD's works but I'm kinda interested in knowing the answer to the second question. I didn't know that # of discs = # of sales on music cd's

It's not # of discs sold, it's # of units sold. There's 1 disc units and multiple disc units.

I was trying to find a link to dvd sales....wanted to find out if Sanford and Son season 2 out sold Twin Peaks Season 1. I'm kinda miffed that Boy Meets World and Saved By The Bell: The College Years are on disc, and for some reason Twin Peaks 2 is no where to be found. Just wondering if it was a sales/volume issue.

As someone who plans to buy the former and already owns the latter, may I just say, God forbid.
