Romero's "DEAD TRILOGY BOX SET"

The good folk at Anchor Bay UK have officially announced the UK release of George Romero's 'Dead Trilogy' Box Set!
Yes, while our US chums wait until next summer for their multi-disc multi-releases sets (see below) Anchor Bay UK have decided on the 2nd of September for our own special edition set! We'll bring you full details as soon as we can but so far the set will include the three films themselves (Night, Dawn, Day of course!) as well as Roy Frumkes 'Document of the Dead' and Tempe's 'Night of the Living Dead 25th Anniversary' documentary. The 2nd of September is also the date for the vastly underrated Romero/Argento collaboration 'Two Evil Eyes' to makes its UK DVD debut and fans of Olaf Ittenbach can expect 'Legion of the Dead' to make an appearance soon after. Finally, 'Halloween' fans can at last rest easy also now that AB UK have finally confirmed the 30th of September as the date for their lovely 'Halloween' six disc box set (that's the first six movies before someone asks!)
While Anchor Bay UK sweep horror fans off their feet Anchor Bay USA still have some tasty releases lined up including the long overdue release of 'Society' (anarmorphic widescreen with commentary by Brian Yuzna and trailer) and the much anticipated DVD special edition of 'Near Dark'! This two disc set will come in a tri-fold package (sans holographic foil cover) and will include 'Living In Darkness' (an all-new 47 minute documentary), commentary with director Kathryn Bigelow, deleted scene, trailers, stills galleries, storyboards and DVD Rom features - of course expect an anarmorphic transfer and audio in Dolby 5.1, DTS and surround! 10th of September is the date for both 'Society' and 'Near Dark'.
Finally, AB USA have started to spill the beans on the reissues of their Romero Dead discs - Summer 2003 is when you can expect both 'Dawn of the Dead' and 'Day of the Dead' to rise again! So far 'Dawn' is listed to appear as two separate single discs (Theatrical and Extended Directors Cuts) with new anarmorphic transfers, Dolby/DTS surround, commentaries, interviews and more. But the smart money will be on folk picking up the three disc set which will include both the aforementioned prints as well as Argento's European cut! 'Day of the Dead' as with 'Dawn' will a new anarmorphic transfer and similar extra features.

There's a topic in the www.dvdmaniacs.net forum talking about all the extras and which versions of the films are being used. DAWN is going to be cut. NIGHT is the butchered John Russo version.
They are also doing a lot of R2 reviews there now.

I can seem to find any details from the BBFC website as to if any cuts were made to Dawn or Day. Past 18 ratings for "Day" indicate that nothing was cut. "Dawn", however from previous submittions to the BBFC has lost at least 12 seconds of footage.

Dawn has been - and probably will continue to be - cut in the UK in the following scenes (from IMDb):
in the beginning where Wooley shoots a Project 107-resident so the head explodes; the scene where the woman gets the skin of her arm bitten off by her dead husband; and finally the scene where Peter shoots the "zombie"-children is a few seconds shorter than the Us-Directors cut.
