Any way to convert Analog into Digital (Doh! Please Read)

Is there anyway to convert a signal from a RCA OUTPUTS into a Digital connection. I don't care about actually receiving digital sound, but I have a DIRECTV unit with RCA outs and a receiver that only has Digital INPUTS. Is there a cable that will do this?

Thanks!

I'm curious... What receivers are currently on the market with ONLY digital inputs??? Or do you mean you have run out of analog inputs and are thus only left with digital inputs?

The ART DI/O is probably what you want. It has a 24/96 DAC and ADC. You can get it for around $130.

Well, I got this unit:
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/AS...858651-1519029

Comes with digital coax and optical...and input for my computer speakers. My Tosh 3109 DVD player has coax digital outputs by my DirectV does not.

Thanks for the suggestions...anything else out there?

Are those speakers hooked up to your computer? You can just use the line-in on your soundcard in that case.

I'm not an expert on this, but I was curious because my father-in-law asked me to look for a 17-18 inch flat screen monitor with digital inputs (hookup to his Mac? Watch TV?), and everything I'm seeing has analog inputs, so I hunted around and found this:

It looks like it might work for what you're talking about. I think. Maybe. Okay, I have no idea. But it looks cool.

P.S. - Looks like it's $59.99.
