Where can you get DVD, THX, DTS signage and such?
I saw a link around here sometime back for a place you could get lighted signage cheap--signage for things like THX, DTS and more. Plus, they had stands for DVDs--"Now Playing" stuff. Anyone have that link??

If you go to Dolby and DTS sites you can order non-backlighted for 20 bucks from Dolby and 35 bucks from DTS. These are the same ones you see outside of the theater from time to time.
Show-off displays as already mentioned is a great source as well. There is a place to sign up for a news letter on their site...do this...awhile back they had a 10 or 15 off coupon I used to grab one of those now playing displays for a very nice price.

As for SDDS you could try contacting Sony, but why would you even want this sign, seeing it is not a home format?

I dunno. Why not. I guess the same reason I could buy a THX sign, although my entire system is not THX "approved"

To each their own, but I would probably pass on the SDDS signage. I would also pass on the THX sign if I didn't already have THX certified components...not that my system is completely THX certified by any means.

The reason I as looking is 99% of my HT stuff is Sony (TV, receiver, DVD, etc) so I wanted a Sony sign. Plus most people that come over and see the sign won't know the difference! I was just looking. I don't really have any signs since my gear is in the living room and not a dedicated space. To each their own...

Rice out the home theatre
Some of the logic in this thread seems to be similar to that of too many members of the import street "racing" scene. Add a giant wing to a front wheel drive car (thus effectively reducing grip on the tires that are supplying the power) because it "looks cool." Get NoS stickers without having nitrous simply for the "look", or rebadge your Integra as a Type R because Type R's are faster.
Rather then spending money on signage which does nothing to improve the sound of your system, why not save it and use that money to keep improving your set up? If most of your friends won't know what SDDS is, then why bother getting a sign for it. Those that do know what it means will know it isn't for home systems anyway...

This is a thread crap.
Read this for more info, and don't do this again.
