The only good thing about this movie was the Special Effects. Im usually a fan of these type of movies but i didnt like it

I am a huge fan of Glen Morgan and James Wong. Theyve made some of the greatest episodes for TV while on the X-Files. They also saved the show Millennium by making an excellent season 2. I also thought Final Destination was a good movie.

But this thread is about THE ONE. Well, I can honestly say that THE ONE was 100% garbage. Horrible from beginning to end. Not even the action scenes were worth watching. Jet Li needs better than this!

Here's a review:

Take all the Jet Li movies made, take out the suspense, take out the good action sequences, take out a coherent storyline and throw in cheesy special effects, mix together and there you have it: instant Crap!

Yeah, crappy movie. The DVD sounds ok, but i'd rather get Final Destination (by the same directors).

i love action movies especially martial arts this has cool special effects and decent action, but the story, bad acting and cheesy dialogue killed it. for example "I am Ulaw, I am nobody's bitch" or something like that

IMO all the best parts action and fx-wise were in the trailer. The plot had some promise, but it failed in execution. I love Jet Li, but his English-language acting isn't quite good enough to pull off the dual-role scenario in this film. As far as the action goes, it is okay, but nothing that hasn't been done better in other movies.

I enjoyed this movie. As cheesy goes...this is a big block. This is nothing more than a guilty pleasure movie. I 've seen worse...Mission to mars comes to mind....

It has a overly used storyline. During the movie and after a certain point about 15-20 mins into the movie maybe less I leaned over to my friend who already seen it and was watching it again for the hell of it. I said lemme guess this happens and it ends with him "blah, blah". Then to my "surprise" I was right.

heh i like this movie. i'd agree with the complaints, but what movie, esp an action movie doesn't have flaws?

it's all about the first action scene, i watched that so many times. the sound mix on it is awesome.

i myself haven't bought it yet, which is why i'd also like to know where you can get it for 10 bucks, which i think is a decent price for it.

The Bus

Besides the fact that the plot has more holes than a slice of Swiss cheese after being used for Army Ranger target practice, The One is pleasantly mindless.
