Thanks for the link to the review - I was on the fence about this due mostly to the difference in price between the initial version and Criterion, but when a disc gets A+ across the board, well, let's say that it helps me make a decision.

I love how the review basically says there's no difference in the audio or video, yet the old USA films DVD gets an "A" for Video and an "A" for Audio, and the Criterion gets "A+" for both. from the review:
You'd think it'd be significantly better, but held side by side, you'd need an incredibly professional eye to see much difference. I'm going to give the new edition a slight edge based on the newness of the transfer, but I don't really think there's much difference.

That review was very confusing -- are they reviewing the old or the new? The page had such a bad color scheme that I didn't even bother to read the review.
