Buying PS2 from friend is this a good price?
I'm thinking of buying my friends ps2 for 200 bucks
The ps2 has not been used much
Here is what I would be getting:
PS2
memory card
Madden 02
Dark Cloud
GT3
controller
cord extender
Should I go for it?

If you believe everything is in good condition, then heck yeah.
A new PS2 would run you $200 alone, then you need to get memory card, controller and games.
The games are OK, depending on your tastes (Sports, Racing, RPGs), but if you do not like them, you can always sell or trade them for something else.

I'd negotiate a lower price. If you bought all of this used at a store, it would be just a little more money, you'd be able to pick your games, and you'd have some sort of guarantee. AFAIK there are a bunch of wonky PS2's out there that have problems with certain types of disc etc. Do you know what model it is? Sony officially recogizes no problems whatsoever with the original system, but they also released a new model of it (different UPC and everything) in September or October of last year.

If everything is indeed in working order (and if something happens, this is your friend, he's not up and running out of the state or anything), I would do it. Keep in mind that you wouldn't be paying 200 for a new ps2 but around 216 bucks (tax is a killer). Also, you would have to pay tax on all the other things as well and it really does add up. Gran Turismo 3 is the only game I would keep out of those three games though.

Offer him $175... GT3 was a pack in and can be had now for $20 brand new... It's a GREAT game. A memory card + cable extender are what? About $35-$40, total, for both now? So, figure $260 for the console, GT3, card and extender, brand new. Toss in Madden 2002 for $25 used... Good deal for the total package, provided everything is in good condition of course.
BTW, dunno why Madden 2002 isn't receiving any love, if you like the NFL at all, you will love that game. Haven't played Dark Cloud, I'm not into RPGs, so that's a throw away IMHO.
