Instrumental Hip HOp
Hey ya'll
I'm sound designing a show and there's a sketch where I'm supposed to use a few different hip hop songs. It needs to be instrumental (primarily) with a really good "ghetto" thumpin beat.
Can anyone give any recommendations???

Might try some of the stuff from Bran New Heavies first tape. They provided the music using nothing but actual instruments to folks like Kool G Rap and GangStarr... I'm sure some of the beats sounded "ghetto", but it's been a while since I heard them.
