Disks on Back Order - ever get shipped?

Usually. Eventually. I finally got my disc of Chasing Amy that had been on backk order for about two months. Of course, this depends on the company in question.

Every movie I've had put on back order has shipped as long as it wasn't a "out of print" title like John Woo's the Killer or the original Little Shop of Horror with the alternate ending.

Some stores are better than others about it. I think the problem is the larger stores don't update their website when things go out of print. I've had movies on backorder at DVDExpress for over a year. I tried to cancel the orders, but they show up as "pending". Also I have had one on backorder from Barnes and Noble for 5 months already that is still showing up in their inventory as "ships in 2-3 weeks". It's an OOP title and they don't bill you until the disc ships so I figured I'd leave it out there and see what happens.
