Would you buy THIS DVD player?
As part of a Spirited Away DVD release, Buena Vista Japan is releasing this:
Limited edition DVD player bundle edition- Comes with Ghibli DVD player (Chihiro edition) Price 19,800 yen For a picture of the DVD player, see: The acorn on the top is the remote control. (In October 2001 Buena Vista released a Disney DVD player bundled with the release of Snow White on DVD).
Would you buy DVD players like these? Could you envision saying to your spouse PASS ME THE NUT!?

haha That thing looks sweet. Not sure if I would buy it though, looks a bit silly next to serious looking equipment probably. It would be nice to have and put in a child's room, or possibly a video game/pool room if you got one (wish I did).

I wouldn't buy it. It would look bad with the rest of my equipment and I'd feel like a loser everytime I used it! It could be a good design for a kids room, I suppose, but not out in the open in a serious home theater.

Interesting idea, but no thanks. I buy my equipment for functionality and quality and not for looks.
