Metal Of Honor: Allied Assualt??

Have anybody tried that on PC? How good is that? Is multiplayer good?

Thanks.

I have it and have mostly played the single player part of it. Single player is a lot of fun. Strikes a pretty good balance between realism and gameplay. Gameplay is objective based and has you working with the computer teammates to succeed.

I've ventured a little bit into the multiplayer part of it but always found it kinda laggy. (I have DSL) I've reverted back for Half-Life and it's mods for multiplayer.

SP was a blast, really one of the great war FPS games out there. Makes you feel like you're actually there in the battle, especially when you take the beach at Normandy!

I've been playing MP ever since I finished the SP, and that's about all I'm playing right now.

Yeah, this sounds like me. I have played this damn game everyday since I have had it. I play Objective multiplayer matches for an hour or two every night. Very, very fun game! Sure it has its faults, but not as many as alot of games.

The SP does seem short, but it is damn hard.

I finished the single player and am going to go back and redo it at hard difficultly soon.

In the mean time....I'm playing team-match multiplayer every night. Absolute blast.

My specialty is the sniper rifle of course

I'm not much for those rocketfests but a nice game with a bit of strategy and cunning is great.

I used to suck...but after doing some grenade practice over the last week or so...I'm getting my kill ratio up.

Took out 4 people with one grenade once...I've even had a couple triple kills with strategically placed ones.

Only problem is finding a server thats not laggy...just takes a few tries.

I finished the game using a 16meg Voodoo3 AGP. There were a couple of slow spots, but basically it was quite playable. You just have to adjust the graphical settings a lot. One or two of the more obscure ones actually made a huge difference to the speed (sorry, I don't remember which ones anymore).

I have PIII 500 MHz with 256 mb memory and it run just fine. But I have to get sound card! The game is playable except they won't go ahead without a sound card.

ipkevin, my voodoo 3 was an onboard 8Mb

McHawk, don't know why you HAVE to have a sound card?!? But I do know it's definitely worth it to have. Especially in this game. The sound effects and music are second to none in any game I've ever played!

I just picked this game up myself. While the single player mode is fun, the online multiplayer is just crazy.

We should get a DVDTalk server up and running or something

I've been playing Team Match for a week or two.

Just tried the Omaha Beach Objective Match MP....wow.

Great map. Just have to find a server that isn't laggy.

If anyone ever sees me...say hi! My account name is:

Mohrr

See you on the beach!

Yeah... I ran out of IRQ on my computer. I think I will remove DVD decoder card, so the sound card can use that IRQ.

The reason I believe I have to have sound card installed because of some game didn't go advance into next mission. For an example, in rescue mission, the our spy did not open the gate for a while. So, I hit "~" to bring up the console, it listed with all sound file that they can't run, I assumed that might affect the game.

I just read another thread that this guy was saying he was waiting like 5 or 10 minutes for the spy to open the gate?!? I think maybe you are just missing something. Does anyone have a walkthrough for this part (about him opening the gate. Not using the "use" button but where the sas agent pics the lock on the gate part)???

edit: this was the post in that other thread that helped the guy through. Maybe it will help you.

"You have to sneak around the wall guarded by the MG 42's, and infiltrate the interior, and release some pow's, and then you will find the explosives. Once you have done that you can go and blow up the gate. Just make sure that the SAS agent doesn't get killed."

Well, I bought the sound card and installed. Guess what? It worked and the spy opened the gate in few seconds. But thanks for trying to help me out.
