Borders Question

I have two borders/waldenbooks cards i can't do a damn thing with. amazon won't take them, and if i want anything from amazon, i need to do two separate orders and pay twice the shipping to say nothing for the residual loose change (~2.00+) that will be left on there. so my question is: how good is borders B&M about converting cards in cash. do i need to buy something and return it? or can i just straight up ask for a refund on the cards?

any help would be greatly appreciated

david

They wouldn't even give me the cash back for a .25 cent balance left on a gift card, so good luck! Buying something and returning will only get you another store credit back, no good.

You could try to sell them on ebay if you want to liquidate them. I don't know how much you would get for them.

I bought couple of times with Borders giftcards that I got for some test drives and when i returned the items back to store, I ALWAYS got cash back. I did this 2 times in the last two months using those giftcards I got for test driving Buick sh*t.

Rather than going through all the hassle why dont you just use em? Buy a few DVDs...their prices arent that outrages..in fact, they try to compete with Best Buy and places like that...
