Resident Evil? This is really strange.
Have you notice that sony made the resident evil movie, but it is shown they are not getting the new resident evil game. So what happened. Or is sony hiding the fact that they will be getting this game too. Playstation made Capcom millions, why would they leave to a different platform.

Capcom got in bed w/ Nintendo, and is making the RE series (remakes of the old RE games) exclusive on Gamecube.
Smart move on Nintendos part, as they needed something excusive to get gamers to purchase their system.

Capcom screwed Nintendo on the N64, only giving them a couple crappy games. Nintendo offered big bucks to bring them back on. and with an exculsive deal, this is going to keep Capcom with them. N64 is cutting edge and can handle, aswell as be programed easier then PS2. so it made sense for Capcom, and considering Resident Evil 0 was suppose to be on N64 but was pushed back, this makes a lot of sense that Nintendo is using that to hold them in, and then throwing more money to simply remake a game for there system. and considering what graphics it can handle.. capcom is really smart on this.
as for is it a back stab to SONY? hell no, think of Final Fantasy. who had it first? Nintendo. do you see Nintendo whinning that SONY took the final fantasy series away from them? Nope.

PS2 is getting a new RE game, just not the ones which have been delegated as being exclusive to Nintendo. There is talk of some online aspects of the game, but the only thing for sure is that a RE game is coming to PS2.

Only Resident Evil 1, 0 (prequel), and 4 will be exclusive to gamecube, I believe. Sony will still get Resident Evil online, and whatever else that comes out, like that lightgun shooter.

Sony Pictures is seperate from Sony Computer Entertainment, which actually falls under Sony Music, I believe. PS2 is getting Resident Evil Online, and a Capcom rep has been quoted as saying that if RE4 does not sell well enough on GC, it may be ported to 'other systems'. I think it will sell well on GC, but still get ported to PS2 eventually, ala Code Veronica.
