Classic gamers unite!

We need to drive off all of this Game Cube/ X-box/ PS2 crap. Where is all of the talk about classic arcades, Atari, MAME, and all of the great 70's and 80's systems?

You call this a soccer fight? Come on boys, lets take them to school!

Okay, where can I get a bunch of MAME roms? I got about 400 from Morpheus. Where can I get additional ones?

www.mame.dk

Been up for a long time. I would assume it is legal to do so in Denmark. This is the most complete library for MAME anywhere.

The easiest way is to just ask. You can get the complete current version free on CD from http://www.tombstones.org.uk/

All you gotta do is ask and send them some blanks. These guys are great.

Or if you have time to download all 3200 ROMs, www.mame.dk is great too. Just remember to send him a donation, because he is offering a great service.

Thats dvdsteve2000, not dvdsteve...

Plus, what do his thread have to do with the over-run of console threads?

You're really asking for another deletion here.

Blah, so you want the industry to revert back to when it was barely making any money? How about they just bring back silent black and white movies then

I miss the feel of the old arcades. The new ones just don't seem right today. Most of the games are either fighting games or racing games where you run out of time before the race is over. It might seem like mindless bitching, but I miss the old arcades (plus .75 cents for a game is a bit steep).

You need to be like me...live both in the past and the present in regards to games. I love talking about GC/X-Box/PS2/GBA along with the old systems.

That's the thing for me. I spent hours and hours in the old arcades dazzled by graphics and such that just was not available on any home console. Nowadays, games at the arcade look like cheap ports of the home titles.

I agree. I love the direction consoles have been going, but arcades are getting progressively less fun. Though I do love me some Time Crisis II.
