Silence of the Lambs Criterion--where to find?

Hi everyone!

I could use some help in finding Silence of the Lamb Criterion Collection. I ordered it this month, and my package was lost in the mail.

Thanks for any advice.

you can try half.com or ebay.com. Be sure not to buy the "imported" or "asian" dvd (even if they say it's the criterion). most fakes don't have insert, the bag is self sealed (not shrink wrapped), and they're generally all-region.

FYI: the MGM SE is similar to the Criterion, and much cheaper.

I just bought 2 brand new ones for $22 each at my local Hollywood Video, so they can still be found at a reasonable price with a little research.

I also found one at Hollywood Video in December in Mt. Clemens, Michigan for $16.99. I gave it to my brother for X-Mas, and he was baffled that I found one. I agree with the previous posts, they are out there, keep looking in the "non-mainstream" places.
Good Luck!

If you're in the MA area, the Newbury Comics in Burlington, MA has a used one in stock for $17.99. (At least it did yesterday when I was in there...)

I think there was an audio commentary on the Criterion that is NOT included in the MGM release. Can anyone confirm that?

Thanks everyone for the helpful hints, offers, and suggestions. I hadn't checked out my local Hollywood video yet, but my package arrived from Amazon today. I ordered it at the end of January, so it was MIA for awhile.

I'm impressed with the Criterion Collection DVDs. I don't have a lot in my collection--only Third Man, Rushmore, Carnival of Souls (and now Silence of the Lambs). In your opinion, what else do I HAVE to have. TIA!

The Criterion has a terrific commentary with Jonathan Demme, Jodi Foster, Anthony Hopkins, screenwriter Ted Tally, and former FBI agent, John Douglas (the inspiration for Scott Glenn's character). The MGM doesn't have any commentary that I know of. I have the new disc as well (for the superior transfer and some different extras) but haven't opened it yet.
