Any other reviews for New Legends (Xbox)?

I've already read the one (http://www.ve3d.com/games/reviews/newlegends/) at voodoo extreme that Flay linked to. Just wondering if anyone else has reviewed it. I emailed the one reviewer (who gave it 86%) to ask how long the game actually took to beat, but he never replied.

anyone else heard about this?

thanks,
Tuan Jim

Well, keep us posted if that guy ever gets back to you.
I'm interested in hearing more about this game.

Gamespot: 7.0 -- reader reviews = 8.5

Course this wasn't linked anywhere on the Xbox page of the site. I only found it from a link at gamefaqs.com.

Man, only 5 hours. Not worth my $50, but probably a rental. Good grief, these games are getting shorter and shorter. Disappointing. I really hope JSRF can prove itself as my next purchase.

Yup - sounds like an unfinished rental title.

EGM gave it 4.17 out of 10. Pretty sad.

edit -- ok, these are the "objective" EGM reviews: http://www.gamers.com/game/500121

There *may* be hope yet. A gamer speaks: http://forums.teamxbox.com/showthrea...threadid=70743

Sorry, all hope is lost. IGN gave the game a 5.5.

Although these reviews do suck, there's always a YMMV factor to this. I've heard people really enjoy Azurik. I enjoy Amped. Both of these got reamed by places when they were released. Yeah, IGN was somewhat nice, but overall I mean. It was a low 8 when it deserved to be a low 9.

I like their reviews. If something sucks, they just come out and say it. From the three reviews combined you always get a good idea of what's good/bad about the game. I hate long, detailed reviews you see online. By the time a game is released, most gamers will have read previews and as a result know what the games about, how it's supposed to play, and seen screen shots and/or movies to judge the graphics. So all I want to see in a review is whether the game is good or not and a brief explanation of why.

I love the details and extended reviews, but I do agree that a reviewer should state "why" their opinion is so. There's no point in those short reviews where people say, "it sucks" or "it rocks".

Anyway, getting back on track.....
I wanted this game to get good reviews too. The premise sounded like my type of game, but so far the general consensus is it is only average with some annoying flaws.
I'll rent it and come up with my own opinion.
