two-player co-operative games?

Hey all,

I'm new to this list--just gave in and bought a PS2 after struggling with the last gasps from my dreamcast. I figure I'll get an xbox when their library is a little more filled out: looking forward to gunvalkyrie, jsrf, morrowind, shenmue II, project ego, and so on. And going online, of course. But for now I have ffx, mgs2, gt3, etc to get into. What a great time for gamers!

Anyway, my question: I'm trying to get my girlfriend into playing games with me. She and I have had a blast with confidential mission and house of the dead 2 for DC, with the guns of course. I'll probably get Time Crisis II and Vampire Night, but I'm looking for fun ps2 two-player co-operative games in other genres. What else is out there? Can you play SOE cooperatively with another player? What's that like?

I miss the days of Secret of Mana on my SNES. That was the most fun I've ever had teaming up with other players in a console game.

The Adventures of Cookies & Cream for PS2. Split screen two player cooperative. It sounds like you like anime styled games, and this definitely fits the bill.

I picked it up for $19.99 from Best Buy, don't know if it is still at that price.

Here is a review:

Half Life for PS2 also has a new two player cooperative mission, it is unique to the PS2.
