What's up with amazon.com

Today, I've ordered those titles from amazon .com:

*The English Patient.
*Clerks - Collector's Edition.
*The Shawshank Redemption.
*The French Connection (Five Star Collection).
*Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.
*Blue Velvet.
*Amores Perros.

and the availability for all of them when I placed the order at "February 16, 2002 at 01:02 PM PST " was "Usually ships in 24 hours ", so far things are great, I picked "Two Day Shipping", and as long as it's all to be shipped within 24 hours, I picked "Group my items into as few shipments as possible " choice.

And it was great that I checked my account after that, let's say 3 hours after I placed the order, and found that It's preparing to be shipped, I was happy, too happy that I found aproblem in my order.
It seems that they split the order into two orders, the 1st one wich is being prepaired to be shipped contains:

*Blue Vlevet.
*Amores Perros.

and the remains of the order wich is 5 items, is delayed, and what do you think why? cause the title "The French Connection (Five Star Collection)" shows this availibility "Usually ships in 11 to 13 days", I CANNOT BELIVE IT, IN 3 HOURS THEY CHNGED THE AVAILIBILITY FOR IT. AND THEY DELAY 4 ITE'S WITH IT.

so what do u say guys think that I should do??

have any one been here?? what did u do??

Amazon does not stock any inventory it comes from different warehouses. 2 Dvd's are coming from one and the rest from another. You selected "Group my items into as few shipments as possible" so now the one DVD is holding up the rest of your order from the other warehouse. You could have chosen not to wait but your shipping would have been more.

What did I do?
I wait since I chose too being a cheap skate

What can you do?
Go into Account>Click your Order>Change the Shipping Preference but get charged slightly more for shipping

BTW... Saying things like "answer me" is not very good Net Manners if your were not sure. People will help you if they want too.

Amazon does indeed stock inventory, I've know people who work at the warehouses where they stock it. Amazon does have different warehoused all over the country to decrease ship times and store their inventoried merchandise in. When you order something from them you are not getting a drop shipment from a distributor. If it says 'Usually ships in 24 hours' it is because it is in stock and sitting in their inventory. Any longer than that and it's something they have to order from a distributor or pull out of a non-shipping warehouse.

If you call them and tell them what happened, they will sometimes split the order for you without an extra charge. But they are doing that less and less.

I'd email or call them explaining that everything said it would ship within 24 hours. Their customer service is very good, and I think they will ship the other titles that are being held up.
