SO I tried out Wreckless at the store last night... aka what's the deal with...?
And I thought it was a cool game, somewhat.
It's about time there is a Destruction Derby type game that has some story, and I like that. And let me say that I could only play with two cars, it was a new game and noone had unlocked other cars yet. And I only played as the coppers...
But I could see this game getting old soon.
so anyway,
What's the deal with the Blurryness? I mean I would be driving away, and all of a sudden the whole image would turn blurry for a second...and not blurry as in indicating speed? Justs blurry, I found it very distracting. Is this common on next gen systems?
The game was cool, but a few things bugged me about it. First, the damage system was nicely done, for the most part. When you hit other cars, or buildings it damages your car which is good. BUT you can drive through trees, lightposts, and signs without knocking them down, taking any damage, or having some sort of indication that you hit them...I find this to be a flaw.
Also, the people on the road would dissappear if you are about to hit them...they magically take on some vampire speed and move out of the way...either leave the people in to get hit, or don't put them in. Anyway, that's my grip... Flay I am sure you have something to report on this...and anyone with other experience with blurred graphics, tell your story here.

I played it today...
I think the bluryness (is that a word?) is supposed to be the heat from the engine, you know how when you're driving along a long road on a hot day, and you see the bluryness (I guess it is now) on the road ahead...
And i'm totally with you on the whole nonsense thing about pedestrians not being able to be hit... GTA3-Killer my arse...

And that type of heat-effect you are referring too was done extremely well in Rogue Leader on the training level....and this looks nothing like that
