I hate not being able to bump them, espescially when you sneak something cool in before the lock.

This post was moved to Feedback and Suggestions, yet it's neither a feedback nor a suggestion...discuss.

It's a question about general moderator abilities, so that is more appropriate to the Feedback forum than Other (where I assume this originated).

Cool Kitten,

It's a fun trick, but best left to the occasional joke or to clarify a final point with out interuption. After all, the point of discussion boards is to discuss, and if you're the only one who can post, that's a little self-defeating.

But still, you can do cool things like these:

1. Take a valid discussion, and lock it. Then go in and edit peoples posts so that everybody agrees with you. Keep it locked, but bump it on occasion so that people will read it and be impressed that everybody agrees with you;
2. randomly email users, saying that if they don't send you, say, $10, you will ban them;
3. copy all lewd photos and post them in the secret moderators forum;
4. tip the candy machine in the DVDTalk break room to get free Mars bars; and
5. using permission granted in the fine print of the TOS, gain control of users machines and store mp3 files on them.
