? about the Garth Brooks Dr Pepper commercial.

I like the song and I was wondering if there is a "real" version available. i.e. no Dr Pepper lyrics.

If so, what is it called?

Thanks,

-Steve

Although there's no non-Dr. Pepper version of the song, it is very similar to "Wrapped Up in You" off his Scarecrow album. If you like the Dr. Pepper commercial, you'll like this song on the album.

The song on the commercials is the same exact song (instrumentally) as Wrapped up in You,

but with lyrics about Dr. Pepper.

I just wanted to clear that up.

In addition, the commercial was shot at the same time with the same cast as the Wrapped Up in You music video. We're talkin' total synergy here. I think it's really sleazy for the top-selling solo artist in history to be hawking soda and CDs at the same time, but nobody has ever said that Garth isn't interested in selling as many discs as humanly possible, and I guess he figured this would help

Well, Michael Jackson and Britney Spears have advertised for Pepsi, Aerosmith is selling Dodge cars, Toby Keith is selling long-distance phone service, Shania Twain and Faith Hill sell makeup, so what's wrong with Garth selling Dr. Pepper?

Yeah, but with the exception of old Michael Jackson and old Aerosmith, they suck too.

I think that the only reason that it is embarrassing that he is hawking CDs and soda is because he actually put the Dr. Pepper song on his CD, albeit with different words.
