a little help? i'm wandering aimlessly in zelda OOT...

i'm stuck at death mountain...pretty sure i need that "heat" tunic to survive in there, but i can't buy it as child link because it's adult sized and i can't find where to buy it as adult link because all of those rock guys (gorons?) are gone...are the gorons hiding somewhere, or is there an alternate entrance to death mountain?

can't do anything else in the desert or the lake...
seem to be done with the forest...
zoron area is frozen...

i've played all the minigames, planted all the seeds, and killed all the spiders i can bear to and i'm sick to death of listening to that little farie tell me how strange the cloud over death mountain looks...just want to game to move forward.

and please don't tell me to buy a strategy guide.

thanks in advance.

I'm going to give you a subtle hint to gently push you in the right direction. Let me know if you want something more explicit:

Not all the Gorons have left their city.

right, i found the big one with the useless swords and the really big one who can supposedly make better swords though the "hyrulian carpenters" make no mention of it, but neither seem to be of much use...

is there a shop still open somewhere?

No shops, but there should still be one Goron "rolling around" on the second level.

Chess,
when in doubt just turn to game faqs. www.gamefaqs.com That site has gotten me out of a bind several times.

thanks, but it's blocked by my work server.

thank you groucho!!! i'll have to think of a way to make that guy stop running over me, but at least i'm not on the wrong side of the map now...i had been focused in the desert area for a while having given up on the gorons.

but say no more!

btw, for anybody who hasn't played this or balked at the N64...you are missing some great stuff...

Majora's Mask is just as good if not better, same gameplay all new story. I've yet to play a bad Zelda game, just finished Oracle of Ages and Seasons on the GBA.
