FFX - Finished NO SPOILERS
i just finished FFX, and wow, what an ending. i'm glad i played the game through instead of obsessing over getting everything. now, i'll just go back and collect everything at my own leisure. i love squaresoft and the FF series - the stories are usually more compelling than other RPG titles.

let's see... if we go with the time according to the game, about 70 hours. this is skipping most of the mini-games although i did spend some time in the omega ruins leveling up. FFX has one of the best endings. admittedly, the game is slow at the beginning, but things start picking up after you reach luca.
btw, what are the suttle differences? does it have to do with which character likes you the most? in my case, it was rikku and i think i got some suttle differences in dialogue. but, nothing major.

Spoiler:
Those are the things I can think of.
