Receiver Recommendation's
For a receiver that has Dolby Digital and DTS decoders. any recommendations for a modestly priced one say up to 300 - 350. But looking for more around 250.

harman/hardon AVR 110, I have one and like it a lot. audioreview.com had countless reviewers saying it plays louder and stronger than their old 100w receivers, which is amazing b/c the AVR 100 only has 45 watts. High-current watts, though, and it sounds clean, looks beautiful and is built like a tank.
Can get for a song at www.harmanaudio.com right now.

I have purchased 2 Sony ES models over the past 5 years and both are going strong. If you like Sony make sure you get the ES series all the rest just suck A$$. Just my thoughts.

I just purchased a refurbished Onkyo TX-DS595 from BestPriceAudioVideo.com for $330, shipped. I received it in 2 days from placing my order. You need to call them on the phone and ask for refurbished units, you can't order over the net.
Since they are an authorized Onkyo dealer (most of the others are not, so no warranty) you get the full 1yr warranty for a refurbished product. Let me tell you that this thing looks brand new even though it said "cosmetic defects" on the box. I suspect Onkyo is selling new products as "refurbished" because of the recent economic downturn.
I am thrilled with my purchase. Their service is exemplary and I would not hesitate to order from them again. (and no, I do not work for them).
