Recommendations being accepted...
....for a t.v. upgrade.
Looking to increase from 32inch to say, 40-43 (direct view?), hdtv monitor. I was thinking direct view since I'm not going higher than 43, but will consider rear proj. if the pic. quality is worth it (keep in mind, my seating area is only about 8foot from where the set would reside).
Comments/recommendations are greatly welcome... what's the best out there?

ewww.... can't afford a plasma (mmmm.... plasma) driver television (yet). looking at like $2500.00

For that range, there is the 40" non widescreen VVega I believe and there are 34" widescreen HDTVs
If you want 40 and widescreen, RPTV is the option.
