review wanted: Sleepless

I live in Canada and heard that the Canadian version of this latest film for Dario Argento will be widescreen, however the U.S. version from Artisan will not. Anyone know the truth and details.

I haven't seen this particular film, but what I have heard sounds great and it seems like a true return to form for Mr. Argento. Any Argentophiles manage to track down a copy yet? If you can point me to actual disc review it would be greatly appreciated.

From everything I've seen lately, it seems that the Canadian disc is also pan&scan. Looks like we got screwed on both sides of the border this time.

The Canadian version is the same as the American. It's pan & scan and terrible quality. The whole print is grainy looking. To top it off, it is without a doubt, the WORST film I've seen this year. Von Sydow sleepwalks throughout. A major letdown, IMHO, being a big Argento fan (but losing patience with him very quickly).

I'll be reviewing it this week... Although aprehensive, I figure, I sat through Phantom of the Opera... so, I'll add my two cents later.
