(17) Gameboy Advance - GBA to TV Adapter: TV de Advance
It finally seems that the GBA TV Adapter called TV de Advance will be out soon. The Japanese distributor recently announced the price of yen 9800 (+5% Japanese sales tax), which converts to about US$ 89. After the unit was initially announced to hit the streets of Japan within October, they have changed their pre-order release date to the last third of November, while they also mention that first stocks will be very limited.
We have also spoken to the Chinese manufacturer of the unit, which told us that the production is running at high speed and their IC supplies are even sold out with pre-orders. They seem not to be able to accept any more pre-orders from bulk buyers around the world at this point of time.
We have added the unit to our catalogue yesterday night but due to the situation we are currently not taking pre-orders. Please subscribe to the TV de Advance Product Alert to get informed once the unit is in stock or pre-orders are accepted.
The TV de Advance, comes with a custom made GBA back cover, two different screw drivers, a Flat cable to hook the TV de Advance to the GBA display and also the Instruction Manual. To install the TV de Advance no soldering is required, while the manufacturer suggests not selling the unit to children under a certain age ;-)
