Mike Patton (Fantomas, Faith No More, Mr Bungle), Duane Denison (The Jesus Lizard), Jon Stainer (Helmet) and Kevin Rutmanis (Melvins) have collaborated to write music and perform under the name Tomahawk.

they just released an album on Patten's Ipecac label. they'll be touring next year i believe.

I've heard about them and listened to a few samples on cdnow, which songs do you recommend?

i've only listened to the samples too. i liked some of the harder stuff on it, i can't recall offhand what the names of the songs were. mike patton is always good for a few surprises.

Just buy the disc, it's quite good...

Oh, and the U.S. tour is over. Might be some U.S. dates next year, but it's unlikely as Patton is involved with another Fantomas project and his "pop" project, Peeping Tom, following the completion of the Australian Tomahawk dates.

i had heard that they might be hitting some places in the US that they missed or that were big sells, after the european tour or something. i'm sure i'll get to catch them at some point. that page said they're playing in san fran on new years with the melvins. wow.
